A few decisions worth making early

A handful of choices drive both the budget and the layout, and they're far easier to make on paper than mid-demolition. Tub versus walk-in shower is usually the first: in many Orchards homes the tub in the primary bath goes unused for years, and giving that footprint to a larger walk-in shower makes the room work harder — though a household with young kids may want to keep at least one tub. Then there's whether a curbless shower is worth it.
