Our commitment
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use jdiconstruction.co to learn about our remodeling work, read reviews, use our cost calculators and request an estimate.
The standard we follow
We aim for the site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.
What we have done
- Every page has a “Skip to main content” link and a main content landmark, so keyboard and screen reader users can get past the navigation.
- Menus, buttons and forms can be used with a keyboard, show a visible focus outline, and have text labels that screen readers announce.
- Text and buttons meet the WCAG contrast ratios, including our brand green, which is a darker shade wherever it carries text.
- Our videos have English captions, shown by default; they can be turned off from the video player menu.
- We check every page template on desktop and mobile with automated accessibility testing (axe-core) and test key tasks, such as requesting an estimate, using only the keyboard.
Known limitations
- Some content comes from other companies, such as our lending partners’ application sites, map embeds and review platforms. We choose partners with care, but we cannot fully control how accessible their pages are.
- Our video captions are based on transcripts that we have reviewed. If you notice an error, please let us know and we will correct it.
