A few decisions worth making early

A handful of choices shape the whole project, and settling them before demolition saves you from expensive changes mid-build. The one we discuss most is whether to keep the tub or convert to a walk-in shower — in a lot of West Linn homes the tub sits unused for years, and reclaiming that space for a larger shower changes how the room lives. Next is whether a curbless, zero-threshold shower is worth the extra framing and floor work; if you plan to stay in the home long term it usually is, both for the clean look and for aging in place.
