A third is whether to keep the layout or move the sink, range, or refrigerator, since relocating plumbing, gas, or the vent run is where cost quietly climbs. And we lock cabinet style early by design — cabinets are the longest lead item, and their delivery date drives the whole schedule, so a late choice there pushes everything downstream.
