Workmanship on everything we installed
Carpentry, finish work, drywall, trim, tile, cabinetry install, countertop install, finished plumbing & electrical connections.
Craftsmanship defects
If something we built fails due to how we built it — not normal wear, not misuse — we fix it.
Door, drawer & hardware alignment
Cabinet doors, drawer slides, soft-close hinges, pulls — adjusted or replaced at no cost.
Tile & grout
Grout cracking, tile loosening, or waterproofing failures on surfaces we installed.
Caulk & sealant integrity
Caulk pulling away at tubs, counters, trim — we re-run it.
Finish work
Paint, stain, varnish, cabinet finishes we applied.

A five-year written warranty only matters if the company honoring it is still around. JDI Construction is a family-owned Vancouver business operating from a single Clark County office — no franchises, no sold-off subsidiaries. The same project managers and craftsmen who built your project are the ones who answer your warranty request.
Our standard is five years. Most Pacific Northwest remodelers offer one. A few offer two. We're on the hook for five because our in-house crews are the ones building to that standard — and they stand behind it personally.

Does the warranty cover the appliances and fixtures JDI installed?+
Appliances, faucets, and finished fixtures are covered under their individual manufacturer warranties — those are the primary coverage for product defects. JDI's workmanship warranty covers the installation of those products (so if an appliance fails because we installed it incorrectly, that's on us). Your project binder lists each manufacturer warranty with its duration and claim contact.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the home?+
Yes. The 5-year workmanship warranty transfers to the next owner for the remainder of the term, with no additional paperwork required. We often get requests from new owners of JDI-remodeled homes — welcome in.
What if I'm not sure which issues are our workmanship vs. normal wear?+
Submit the request anyway. A JDI project manager reviews every request personally — if it's something we're responsible for, we take care of it; if it's a product issue, we tell you which manufacturer to contact and help you file; if it's normal wear, we're honest about that too.
How quickly do you respond?+
One business day for the initial response. Scheduling the on-site inspection (if needed) typically happens within the following week. Simple fixes often get resolved in a single visit.
Is there any cost for covered warranty work?+
No. If the issue falls under the workmanship warranty, repair labor and any JDI-supplied materials are included. The warranty is baked into the price of your original project — it's not an add-on, extended plan, or financed product.
What if my project was completed before the current warranty terms?+
If JDI built it, we'll make it right. Pre-2015 projects were covered under earlier warranty terms — submit the request and we'll pull your file to confirm what applies.
