Anything set into the walls — a bench, recessed niches, a second showerhead, or blocking so a grab bar can go in cleanly later — needs to be framed and waterproofed in from the start, never surface-mounted after the fact. We also lock in the glass and the drain early, because both change how the pan and walls are built.
